I don't know who the fuck I am.
To start, here's who I am - I am the pocrastinating lazy idiot who has all the time in the world to write my personal piece, but I put it off because I want it to be "so perfect" that I never write it. That probably says more about me and my life as a "so called" artist than anything else.
So bare with me people, I'm diving right in and telling you about myself with no prep work and no commitment to finish an introduction to myself in this sitting.
Commitment, I have a greater fear of commitment than I do of the sniper. I have a greater fear of commitment then I do of terrorists crashing into me. I have a greater fear of commitment than I do of the very real threat of being in a car crash and getting mamed or dying.
I have a greater fear of commitment than the fear and eventuality of Death. I have a greater fear of sitting down and trying to produce art than the fear and eventuality of Death. I have a greater fear that I will find out that I can't produce any art, than the fear and eventuality of Death. I have a fear that if I do produce art that it will disappoint me so much that I don't even want to try.
So I do nothing. And the lazy fool will write again...perhaps.

Truth or Dare? - 21/10/2002, amie oliver,
richmond Normally I would respond to such commentary with GEEZ, that explains a lot! BUT...Issac - what about your committment to Richmond? It certainly isn't something that a lazy fool would take on for reasons that will surface as this project progresses! British printmaker Philip Wetton once observed of our fair city that she demands a lot of attention yet doesn't have a lot to offer in rewards - not for the artist, anyway. Agree or disagree, there is a certain amount of truth to this remark.
