about money and theater and religion in zürich

money makes the world go around.
this sentence fits for zürich like
a glow.
in the last months there was a big
discussion here in zürich about theater and money.the very innovativ and non-conventional theater director of zürichs bigest theater, was thrown out because he spend to much money
and had not enough public (of course it´s a little bit more complicatet, but thats the main reason.)
his theater is not easy to digest, specially not for the old fashioned zürich public who just wants entertainment,
or conventional theater. going to the theater, is another
opportunity to wear expencive clothes and meet other rich
people, for them.
fortunatelly a big wave of solidarisation came to the theater-scene of zürich an there was a big demonstration to support the schauspielhaus-crew. so now after lots of discussions and meetings they decidet to give
him another chance. he has to save 2 millions swiss
franks in the next year and he can stay one year more.
and this happens in one of the richest citys of the world.

i´m borne here in zürich and i lived here till i was 25.
sometimes i feel like in "breakfast at tiffanys" it makes
me feel save in a strange, weard way when i step in one
of this big bank houses, there like cathedrals, everybody
spikes with al low voice, and people seem to move slower then outside. money is a religion here.
